| General Description
: ZenCourtyards are a set of 3 courtyards located in the western mountains of Beijing, 2 in a 500 year-old Buddhist Temple, and 1 in an idyllic small mountain village next to the Fragrant Hill park of Beijing China. The ZenCourtyards are run by Mountainyoga - the only yoga retreat centre in China. They are non-smoking ,non-alcoholic and vegetarian centres. We provide accommodation for yogi and vegetarian travellers - it's a nice experience to go off track and relax your body, mind and soul on the journey. One of ChinaVeggieHome's ZenCourtyards is situated in a small mountain village next to the well known Fragrant Hills in the northwest of Beijing, next to the 5th Ring Road and about 50 minutes drive from downtown. There are many bus routes have their terminal at the foot of the Fragrant Hill. The Fragrant Hill centre is close to the Fragrant Hills park, Azzure Cloud Temple, Botanical Garden and Sleeping Buddha Temple. There are many hiking trails in the surrounding mountains, as well as springs where you can hike and fetch living water for tea. The centre is consisted of 2 courtyards, one smaller. Since in total there are only 5 guest bedrooms, it lends itself to a small and private feeling, away from crowds and larger retreats. The rooms are named Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, and Kang Room which has a brick bed built in. There is a large living room with a lovely fireplace in the bigger yard. There are two kitchens, one in each yard, where you can cook your own food. the other ZenCourtyards guesthouse is located in a 500 year-old Ming Dynasty Buddhist Temple, about 50km northwest of Beijing nestled in the western mountains, and takes about 50 minutes drive from downtown. The Temple is a relatively small one but not open to public, which make it a perfect place to feel the tranquility and the energies of ancient China. There are 7 bedrooms with private shower and toilet available at the temple. Vegetarian meals, daily yoga or Taichi, tea ceromony, reading in the small but cosy Mountainyoga library, or just relax in the middle of an ancient Chinese Zen temple. Attractions

:The Buddshit Temple Courtyards locates in the northwest of Beijing - about 1 hour drive from downtown.You will need us to arrange transportation to get their. The Fragrant Hill courtyard also locates in the northwest, about 50 minutes drive from Beijing centre. There are many bus going to the Fragrant Hills(Xiangshan). You can take public transportation to get there or reserve our private car service. |
